It’s a twister!

My little town was hit by a series of tornadoes the other day. Everything’s fine, but here’s some pictures for you:
That sign got bent all to crap.
And that house got trashed. There were lots of other houses damaged in that neighborhood, but they all got boarded up. This one’s unoccupied, so you can still see the full effect of the damage.

It’s still May, right? I forget.
Anyway, nothing new. Except my car. I finally got a crappy little vehicle that I won’t feel guilty about driving hard. Pizza delivery is hard on the old family car. So now I have something else to drive. It’s a five-speed, which is my first. And I was going to have someone teach me how to drive a five-speed, but I didn’t feel like waiting, so I just got in and started messing with it. And now, after a single day’s work, I am proficient at shifting and clutching and vrooming. Although, I did have an unfair advantage, having driven an eighteen-wheeler for eight months. Though the shifting is quite different, the principle was simple enough to figure out.
I really don’t have much else to say than that.
