Happy Thanksgiving

I’ve been told to post more. But I don’t know what to say. I suppose I could ramble on and on about nothing. Some sort of stream-of-consciousness blog. But that would be really boring for you to read. I think I have maybe one reader now anyway.
I’ve been writing quite a bit lately, but nothing I can share. I intend to get what I’m working on published, so I have to keep it to myself until it’s ready. However, there is a fifth chapter to Gathered Flowers that has been done for some time now. I just never put it up. And the previous chapters have been rewritten to better fit the larger story arc now, changes which have also not been put online yet. Frankly, although I may have one reader on this blog, I fear I have zero on that section of my site. So it feels like a waste of time to put up anything, since no one will read it.
Games? Yeah, I play games. I’ve recently learned that I’ll be getting Metroid Prime 3 for Christmas, so I pulled out Prime 2 to play all the way through (a game I never finished (I almost never play a game to completion)). I’ve also decided to finish Zelda: Twilight Princess and eventually Halo (the first one).
Movies? The newest movies I got were Transformers and Equilibrium. The latter being a movie almost no one has heard of, but it’s good. Future dystopian society with emotion removed. Then guy gets emotions. That sort of thing. As for theatrical films, I’ve gotten the books for Stephen King’s “The Mist”, and “I am Legend”. I always read books before films, as doing it the other way ’round is usually disappointing. Unless it’s a novelization of the film, in which case it’s usually better to avoid reading altogether. Although I enjoyed the Men in Black book. I saw a book at the store that was a crossover between Star Trek: TNG and X-Men. The blurb said something like there was an alternate reality where the X-Men were real, and now they have to work together for some reason. Running out of ideas much?
So, that’s all I have to say. I really said nothing at all, but it’s one of my longest posts in recent memory. So enjoy.
You went to the trouble of posting about Equilibrium without mentioning the Gun Kata? I mean, gunfu. Come on. Well, anyways. Happy Thanksgiving, big hairy naked guy.
I loved Transformers. Ironic, because I never liked anything like that when I was younger. But hey, what male wouldn’t like big robots smashing things up on a big screen?
Happy thanksgiving also
Two comments in less than twenty-four hours?! I guess I underestimated my readership. I clearly have two, not one!
And yeah, the Gun Kata is definitely one of the coolest parts. And did you know that the muzzle flash of the guns is the same shape as the Tetragrammaton logo thingy? It’s kinda cool. It doesn’t even look like a special effect, but I can’t imagine how they’d do it as a practical effect…
I never really watched transformers that much as a kid, either. But I did play with the toys a lot. Back when they were well made, what with the die-cast metal and stuff.
Make it three readers! Duh! You forget me or something? And I, being the cool chick I am, also played with transformers as a kid. I saw the movie on IMAX with the boyf, and was fairly impressed. It wasn’t a movie I thought I would enjoy-I was just seeing it to humor my boytoy, but ended up liking it. A fortunate surprise. Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving!
Well, you were the original “one”, but then you didn’t respond immediately (Don’t you have alarm bells and rotating red strobes hooked up that go off when I post?!), so I counted the new two. And now I have the original one back, added to the occasional two… And that equals… um… carry the two… plus the square root of pi… a million?!
*runs off*
It’s not possible to shape muzzleflash in such a way(people have, I’m not kidding, tried). Looks quite real.
